Balancing Elements:
- you should balance the "weight" of your subject by including another object of lesser importance to fill the space
Leading Lines:
- our eye is naturally drawn along lines

Use of Lines:
Horizontal:
static, calm feel to a picture
Vertical:
often suggest permanence and stability
Diagonal:
introduce a feeling of drama, movement or uncertainty
Symmetry and Pattern:
- very eye catching, part way in situations where unexpected
- break symmetry or pattern in same way introducing a focal point
View Point:
- you choose what to show us
Birds Eye:
looking down on something
Bugs Eye:
looking up on something
Framing:
- placing these around the edge of the composition you help isolate the main subject
Cropping:
- cropping tight around the subject, you eliminate the background noise, ensuring the subject gets the attention
Perspective:
- change of perspective can add impact to a photograph
- take photo from different angles
Odd Numbers
- images are more appealing when there are a odd number of subjects
- scientifically proven
Space
- to portray movement and context, take a photo bigger than just a part you're seeing, you need to leave "white spaces"
